Gossips says it Biden, Hotze helping Bell, Cornyn mad at Chronicle.

The Gossips thinks that Senator Joe Biden would make a great VP for Senator Obama. We also love Governor Bill Richardson and assume he will be in the Cabinet. Biden is qualified to be President and is an expert on foreign affairs. So, the Gossip predicts that Obama will name Biden sometime this week as his choice for Vice President.

And the Gossip loves the fight that Dr. Steve Hotze is starting in the race for the State Senate 17 race. He is charging that former Judge Joan Huffman is getting money from gambling interests…ie Landry’s restaurants. They also own the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and would love to have gambling in Galveston. Dr. Steve is for Austen Furse the 3rd. Apparently Landry also gave to Furse so what is the beef. The Gossip goes back with Dr. Hotze to 1985 and the famous Louie Welch for Mayor race. He has not changed much since then. The Democrat in this race is Chris Bell. Chris and the good Doctor have had an interesting relationship that goes back to Chris’s city council days. Humm, maybe the Doc is trying to help Chris?

And did you see the memo that the Cornyn folks put out about the Houston Chronicle? Yes they called it a “Liberal newspaper” and complained that their reporter took some of the Senator’s remarks about health care out of context. It looks to the Gossip that Cornyn might have just been pushing the tort reform folk’s agenda a little too much when he credited that movement for improving health care in the state. After all about 45% of Texans do not have health insurance. Perhaps he got carried away with his remarks to a group of GOPers but the Senator needs to watch what he says now days. Want to bet we will not see that headline in a Rick Noriega TV spot? That is assuming Rick will have funds for TV.
