The Gossips hear that Craig Varoga, one of the nation's best Campaign Managers has signed on as national Field Director for the Wesley Clark for President Campaign. Varoga, from Houston and a veteran of many political campaigns will being lots of experience to the Clark Campaign and should help the General in his efforts to stay in the race at least through the super Tuesday primaries.
Who is taking the blame for the poor Orlando Sanchez campaign. The Gossips hear that the insiders are pointing the finger at Jack Rains as well as Sanchez himself. Sounds like that campaign was full of turmoil most of the time. Orlando should have gotten at 40% just based on the GOP voter in the City. But no he got only 37% and that was with a last minute recorded phone call from President Bush to Republican voters
Speaking of the President, is it true that when he visited Iraq at Thanksgiving the turkey he held up for photos was not a real turkey. According to Michael Moore, that famous author, " it turns out that big, beautiful turkey of yours was never eaten by the troops! It wasn't eaten by anyone! That's because it wasn't real! It was a STUNT turkey, brought in to look like a real edible turkey for all those great camera angles". Could that possibly be true or is this an urban myth?
So the Gossip missed his prediction by just one race. Big deal and a good deal at that. Ronald Green pulled off an upset with some help from KSEV radio and some crossover GOP votes. But regardless of how he got there he got there and that is what matters. Green will be a positive force on the City Council and will represent his core constituency as well as the entire city proudly. He follows in the foot steps of some outstanding Council members such as Anthony Hall and Judson Robinson Jr and Judson the III to name just a few. Good job Ronald and his campaign manager Kristi.
