The Gossips will miss State Senator Bill Ratliff. He was a class act and his resigning from the Texas Senate should send a message to the GOP that the politics of "our way or the highway" will cause more problems in the Senate.

The Gossips were also impressed by Bill White getting the last 5 Mayors endorsements including Louie Welsh. Louie the Mayor from 30 years ago and a Republican, was a surprise. The Sanchez campaign must be in big trouble with these endorsements. Even some of Orlando's advisors are now very worried about his campaign.

And add the Houston Realtors PAC to the list of groups endorsing White. They waited to the runoff and decided to jump on the bandwagon for White. So did the Houston Firefighter would were well represented at the large White fund raiser Wed. night. Even some Republicans showed up to support White at Roland Garcia's home.

Looking at the list of endorsements in the Controller's race the Gossips wonder if Bruce Tatro has any besides the local GOP party. Annise Parker is doing great in the endorsements race including Mark Lee who came in 3rd in that race and Gordon Quan the Mayor pro tem who supported Lee in the first election.
